For more than a century, Walsh’s Hotel has been a gathering place — a cornerstone of the community where stories are shared, friendships are forged, and good food has always been part of the heartbeat. Today, we’re proud to unveil the next chapter in our history: a newly renovated kitchen, purpose‑built to elevate the dining experience while honouring the traditions that shaped us.

At the helm of this transformation is our long‑standing Head Chef, Steve — a man, nay, a personality synonymous with Walsh’s itself. After more than 20 years in our kitchen, Steve has seen the pub through eras, renovations, celebrations, and countless plates served with pride. His deep understanding of the venue, its people, and its palate has guided every detail of the new space.

The renovation isn’t just a facelift — it’s a commitment to quality. With upgraded equipment, expanded prep areas, and a layout designed for precision and pace, the kitchen now gives Steve and his team the freedom to create with even greater consistency and flair.

But while the tools may be new, the soul of the kitchen remains unchanged. Steve’s signature approach — honest flavours, generous portions, and a respect for classic pub favourites — continues to anchor the menu. The difference now is the room to push boundaries, refine techniques, and introduce fresh seasonal dishes that reflect both his experience and his creativity.
